Papayo Honey

Perched on the sunlit slopes of Buesaco, Nariño, at 2,200 meters above sea level, the Papayo Honey finds its home in the heart of the Western Cordillera, where acidic volcanic soils and temperate mountain air shape each cherry. This high-altitude sanctuary, cared for by the Pasto and Quillacinga peoples, is a living expression of tradition and culture. Native trees cast gentle shade, protecting the cherries as they ripen slowly under the Andean sun, while the volcanic soils infuse each bean with minerals and subtle complexity.
